Re-entry

The first thing I did when I got home last night after 2 weeks in the US - after vaccuming in a moment of manic sleep deprived jetlag - was check the phone messages to see if the turkey farm had called back about my Thanksgiving turkey. They hadn't...

When I called them earlier today, they knew me by name and said, "no we haven't forgotten you. In fact we have other people who have asked for Thanksgiving turkeys. You told people about us?" I wasn't sure if they were annoyed or please so I politely said, "yes, I did some publicity for you. I hope you don't mind." They don't...

So to all you going to get your Thanksgiving turkey at La Ferme Avicole Bauduin in Rosult, I send you a hearty gobble gobble. And don't forget to get some of their delicious duck rillette!

Oh my goodness a real turkey for Thanksgiving? .. not that i'd eat it.. but i'll be happy just to see it on the table and show Jeremie what Thanksgiving is supposed to be like. Here's to hoping the baby will either be born before then, or the day after! I'm really looking forward to this.

Just wondering, how much do they charge? I live in Clermont-Ferrand and last year we ordered a turkey from our local butcher. It was over 60 euros for about a 10lb turkey! Yikes! I was used to getting free turkeys from Bi-Lo in the US!!!!

Kim, I get 2 10 pounders for about 50€, fresh, cleaned and delicious! The butcher quoted me 50€ for a single bird.

Amber, keep that baby in! The meal will make him pop out for lack of space!
