So much to say and so little inspiration...
I don't want to give up this blog, but I am starting to wonder what the point is. I'm not funny anymore. I'm not witty. I'm not inspired. Hell, I don't even bitch and moan about the French anymore. What I do do is keep track of my kids' English progress. Is that enough to keep this blog going? I'm wondering...or maybe I should go private since it's basically turning into a journal anyway.
But no, having this blog has allowed me to connect with other Americans in France, other parents raising bilingual kids, it's given me access to some amazing resources and introduced me to other blogs which are both amusing and enriching!
So I guess that's the answer. Spaghetti-os is here to stay. For now.

Yes, please!
I think a lot of people go through blogging ups & downs - ie. there are periods where you just don't have a lot going on or much to say.
I don't have kids yet, but I enjoy reading about how yours are progressing - it gives me an idea of what things may be like for me some day!! :)
No, no, please don't go - you are the one person that probably has the same attitude towards the English thing as me. Are you on Facebook? How do I find you?
PS Not that there aren't others in the same boat and very interested in bilingualism of course, but I can really relate to your posts.
Glad you'll be sticking around!
Yes, you've had some very helpful insight about bilingualism. I think when you raise kids you become a bit focused on everything about them. That's normal. and when you're the main source of their English, every milestone in that language is that much more important. I get so tickled when my daughter says things like "gonna" and "thingey" cause I know it came from me! I for one enjoy what you have to say.
I just found your blog, and I would love to read more...do stay. =) I have often felt the same about "how interesting" my post may be...and in those moments, I just tell myself, "Well, at least Gramms, Grandpa, Papa, and the aunties will be interested in this one...!"
Thanks!!
Tamara
thanks to all of you for the nice words and reassurance. I'm hoping the motivation will come back soon. Maybe I should start by bitching abotu dogshit again and move on from there. French dogshit always seems to get me worked up enough to at least seem inspired!
I agree with all the other comments, keep your comments coming - I check in on your blog every month when the American Market newsletter reminds me you have one (my mind is rather sieve-like). And keep telling U.S. history to your kids today (i.e. MLK day...), you'd be surprised, my folks say my two boys know more about America than most little Americans! I think they soak it up because its "Mommy's" country.
Look forward to more...
