About nursing, I'm so glad I was able to do it for a year and share this with my daughter. It is an amazing experience where a woman learns a lot about herself, her body, and her animal instincts. It builds confidence in yourself and creates a new relationship with your body.
And just like that, it's over...
Rather than focusing on the last nursing - worse than me than for her since I cried and she just seemed to want to watch the cats - here's what was going on last year right about now:
the good news is that the accupuncturist said the baby had significantly dropped, even since last week. she also stuck hot needles in my toes to help induce labor! needless to say, it hurt like hell.
Now off to prepare the birthday cake for tomorrow's birthday shindig. Hope the weather holds out so we can have it in the park as planned.

Congrats on a year! I'm aiming for week by week still, but that's already a step up from day to day. How old was she when she really noticed the cats? Ella has technically seen ours but not really interested yet. I guess I should have tried those hot needles since they worked for you...
Oh, the hot needles didn't really start the labor. I was still 4 days late and still had all the induction drugs, even though I was in labor for 2 days.
I think she started noticing the cats around 3 months.
Hang in there! It is difficult at first but totally rewarding and amazing to be able to feed your baby.
Eager to read all about the first shindig!
Happy First Birthday!
